Pranking Sexism?

(Sometimes I'll post things here just to share.  That means, of course, that you'll sometimes see that the most recent post is not about your official assignment.  But I label the assignment posts clearly, so you'll be able to find them.)

Anyway, I am interested in the many elements that go into this little video.  On the one hand, it seems to want to make a point.  On the other, in the course of doing so, it seems to rely on a lot of stereotypes, too.  Watch it.  Think about it.  Comment.  Click HERE.

    I suppose having just any professional pilot posing as a novice would not have made as good of a YouTube thumbnail.

Assignment for Mon., Sept. 11 I mean Tuesday 9/12

So many thoughts.  I keep thinking about "exclusions," and the historical movement of some of them from "obviously necessary" to "obviously unjust." I am also thinking about false consciousness, which I did not explain well.  (But I think that there are accessible analogues.) We will talk more about these things. I'm thinking about a syllabus.  Would you believe that it has been done, all this time?  It has.  I'm just insecure about it.
